Ahh i know how you feel! I'm almost 4'11" and have size 4.5-5 feet. At least you fit the petite length. I go into try on jeans in the short length and the sales lady tells me, "we have those jeans come in short if you want me to get a pair for you." Hah, I am wearing the short!

Yes, it's true that some of the pieces would be startling off the runway (latex coats)... but I'm sure there are some women out there that can pull it off. I can't wait for these looks to hit the streets. I want to see other people beside Jennifer and Nicole wearing the SS08 collection. There are also very wearable pieces that I really liked - the sweaters, skirts, and pants. In general, I really liked his collection, for its wearable and unwearable pieces.

amen to stop sending so many catalogs! i've actually e-mailed urban outfitters to stop sending me their catalogs along with anthropologie. anthro stopped, but i still get urban- at two different places i live at! they are nice to look at, but such a waste of paper and energy spent mailing them!

In the current market it is hard to differentiate whether the company truly believes in these practices or if it just a marketing ploy. Companies need to really understand what is going on and take the first step towards cleaning up their practices to create a better planet for the benefit of their customers, not to benefit themselves by making a profit off of them. Hopefully, as time goes on, this 'trend' will gain more credibility and become a classic practice by all companies.

Aahh, I wish I could be there to see it all! I would looove to hear Cathy talk about the Internet's influence on fashion. I'm sure there will be posts about what she says, but being there in person would be so much better. Is there any chance Diane's videos will be posted somewhere that non-NY's can watch?

When I first saw it I also thought of that Vogue Italia shoot with all the floral prints and tattoos.

Yes, those headlines kill the cover!!! I love looking through old Harper's Bazaars and Vogues when the covers were treated as works of arts and didn't pump out the usual cover shot of a gorgeous model/actress/whatever. It would be amazing to get a headline free cover for subscribers, except I don't subscribe to any because they always arrive in the stores before I get them in home (blame it on living in Hawaii where a ocean separates us) and I hate throwing them away and have no room for them.

In the beginning of the year I was thinking about getting them, but chose not to when my friends got them later. I'll stick to my love for gladiator and, as my friends refer to them, "Jesus" sandals. I've loved them since high school (which is three years ago)!

Just revisited this post now-
I was mildly joking when I said that Asians should be next, in the larger context I meant that EVERYONE should be a part of this (not implying that others aren't more important). I applaud Vogue Italia and can't wait to see what the issue is like.

That opening page with the black & white picture of the Zac Posen dress from behind is gorgeous! The lighting, the flowing train of the dress... beautiful!!
