I know it sucks. But I got my first 2 jobs out of college based on internship experience. (More than one interviewer went, "Ooh, you worked at XXX? I love her!")
There are grants available to let students take unpaid internships during off terms. Check with your school's career services office. If your school doesn't offer internship grants there are private ones available, but you should start looking early.

I suspect LV will get negative publicity over this, but part of copyright law is that a company has to defend its trademark against every possible perceived infraction, whether it's by a competitor, a charity, or just no big deal. If a company lets even a minor one go by, it can lose its trademark altogether.

I didn't say LV would win or that they should, just that they were obligated to try. And it turns out I was totally wrong. I checked with an actual lawyer friend who clarified that so-called "genericide" doesn't apply to copyright, only trademarks. Earlier, I didn't understand the difference.
So I was wrong and it sounds like LV has no actual legal obligation to sue in this case, which makes me feel a lot better about the whole thing (and a lot worse about LV).
The shirt is provocative and apparently effective. I hope this at least generates the attention for Darfur that Plesner said she was going for.

Anna Wintour and Zac and Kate Mara handily won the whole day. Christina Ricci's was really interesting, with the sheer gown over the red Wonder Woman bustier--nice work with the super hero/secret identity layering. (Honorable mention to Amber Valletta)
Otherwise, kinda disappointing. Did everyone just phone it in? What a sad way to respond to "Super Heroes"
I mean, Dita von Teese looked lovely, but she totally let me down by not channelling a Golden Age 4-color super heroine.

I love Jourdan, but I have to give it to Nicole. It's a nice cocktail dress on Jourdan, but on Nicole with the loose hair and flats and the big carriage, it's a completely crazy choice for a day dress. I love that.

I would have loved one of those when I was 13.
I wouldn't carry one now that I'm 26, because I would look like a lolcat: "OMG! invisibul 5-year-old daughter"

What was with the chick with the boobs? How can anyone think that's a good idea? "I need to impress my boss with my chic, individual style. Maybe I should hoist the girls around my ears and wear a really tight dress."
Who does she think she works for, Flava Flav?

If it had to be DC, I'm surprised they went with Supergirl instead of Wonder Woman. Maybe they like the "girl" part?
Well, at least it's not Power Girl!

My favorite quote from her was about someone saying: “you need to lose more weight. The look this year is anorexic. We don't want you to be anorexic, we just want you to look it.”

Also, I can't find shopping info on that blue polka dot dress. Anyone recognize it?

I understand your reasoning, but your site would be more interesting and readable if you championed the cause of young designers by showcasing their clothes more often.
At this point, the only designer you're really exhibiting is Forever 21, and they are old news. It's boring and repetitive.
Think about young designers, but think about us too. We're your readers sitting in cubicles all day hitting "refresh." Show us something new, someone we may not have heard of.

Yeah, I sew all the time. It's more expensive than you'd think. I don't think it's ever been cheaper for me to make something than to buy something at H&M or Zara. But it's OK that it's expensive, because you're paying for both clothes and a hobby.
