It's cheaper than I would've thought ... but it must be taken into account how much the designers get out of this too. Major print and TV advertising, international press and instant name-recognition. Plus every designer that's done a collection for them has commented on how much they learned from the mass-retailer about smart production and sourcing. All that and a few hundred grand? Not bad.

I'm beyond excited that they're finally showing the men some love. I'm getting the Michael Bastian military shirt for sure. I just wish Scott would've created a slim men's Band of Outsiders oxford for $78!

Yeah ... I've got messenger. The totes aren't bad, but then your hands are always full.
A piece I wrote about the subject a few seasons back for the Washington Post:

Those are pretty sweet. But I'll stick with my TOMS ... they're crazy comfortable and they donate an entire pair back for everyone purchased. That's a lot better than 10%.

The Burberry one is pretty cool, actually, because it's sort of discreet.

I think this'll be great ... but leave it to Vogue to produce a $3 million Web series. For every minute, is another assistant's yearly salary.

Joe Zee is my hero. He's funny, he knows the power of a few well-placed accessories and most of all, he's not afraid to throw in a "little J" reference to let you know he's up on Gossip Girl tip.

These are great ... can't wait to see the guys. I'm really curious to see how the stuff that Patrick Robinson did sells. I'm thinking we all might be falling into the Gap this fall.

How to: Crash a Bryant Park fashion show:
Step 1. Storm past security, while barking into your phone about being late and rummaging through your bag.
Step 2. Bypass the check in and go straight into the holding line to get in. Stick to the center of the crowd and don't make eye contact.
Step 3. Once inside, mull about in the back and once the lights go down, have a seat and make sure to grab a goodie back.

I wonder if Alessandra Fachinetti is like Lars Nilsson. They keep going to these houses, following big name designers and can never make it work.
Is it them? The pressure? Or the demanding corporate boards that are too quick to drop the designer?

There really is nothing better than the Hanes v-neck. Great fit and quality for the price. Grab a five pack for ten bucks, wear 'em out and then replace in a month or so.
