"When I was finally able to buy an adult-size dress, I bought a Betsey Johnson," said Intern Sabrina before the show, and apparently BJ got the message:
Her entire Spring show was called Prom Queen, and aimed at her youngest customers - girls with Bat Mitzvahs, girls with first dates, and girls who still want bows on everything.
Of course, those "girls" sometimes still include us, the twentysomething party filles who don't mind frills if they come with black eyeliner and a boy.
Maybe that's why Tori Spelling sat front row, superthin and smiling. There were also pop stars Mya and Jojo (wait, is Jojo a pop star?), and for the finale, an even younger Betsey fan - her toddler granddaughter
Layla, who seemed more placid on the runway than most children in front of The Backyardigans.
"Great genes," we scrawled on our program, then realized Betsey could make a fortune with a denim line.
