Here's my theory: SATC is totally the Kevin Bacon of the 2000's. Everything can be degree'd back to it.

actually donald, seeing as miss carrie bradshaw herself starred alongside bacon in footloose, that makes kevin bacon the kevin bacon of the 2000s.

come on, you know you guys all watched footloose on vh1 this weekend! anyone? ANYONE?

Click on picture 4... there's the bag!

But the fashion credits reveal nothing...

1. Sarah, now we feel especially useless for sitting in front of the TV and trying to take a decent picture of the bag! Nicely found.

2. Someone on Jezebel made an incredibly good comment: Why is Miranda carrying that tote if she's also holding a plastic cup?

faran -

i find the notion that if one is not 100% 'green' but makes small changes in their lifestyle, then they are a hypocrite to be demeaning to the movement as a whole.

why rip into miranda for carrying a plastic cup when we should applaud her character for making a positive statement (and long before it was overtly 'fashionable' too)?

it sounds eerily similar to white house rhetoric - let's dismiss global warming by pointing out that democrats still fly in planes! therefore they are hypocrites! and if they are hypocrites, then the issue must not really be that important - so it must not really be an issue at all!

um, k122n, I think you're trying really hard to be mean to Faran. As she was clearly joking around hence the smiley face at the end.

Personally, I like the "I am not a smug twat" take on the whole thing:

I have tried to limit using plastic bags for years now and am always in search of a good canvas tote.

Imagine my surprise one day when SJP was spotted in a pap pic with a tote from the place my sister works - the New York Restoration Project.

I made my sister snag me a couple because I figured this would be the only accessory I would ever have in common with SJP. They really are great bags because they have long handles.

I keep one or two of these in my handbag at all times:

soooooo much more convenient than canvas bags fo me, because I constantly leave those at home or in the car.
