I believe she's talking about the racial segregation which is part of the plot in both movies.

Why is there a naked woman in the ads with the black women? And what's the point of segregating them? If they're trying to make a point...they're failing.

I kinda like the ads.

I kinda get the concept. It's more west side story meets quadrophenia to me. Very girl gang, rockers vs. mods. (For those that don't follow film, please rent the cult classic film Quadrophenia.)

I get the naked black girl in the ad. Being a black woman, I'm not offended. French & (some european) culture was the 1st to accept black & African beauty, hence the success of Josephine Baker.

Oh Lulu, you should have come over and said hello! I loved the movie; did you?

I just got the most amazing vintage Moschino from Fille de Joie in Brooklyn - you guys will see it soon on the site...

If this was a total rip off on Vanessa Beecroft, they would be standing together to create some form or shape, and they all would be nude or wearing the exact same thing.

Damnit, Miss Jeffrey ... Are you trying to make me fall in love with you?

Nude, heels, pantyhose. The models also look too 'warm' to be something VB would do. I remember a certain distant, cold expression on her models faces.

I always thought it would be brilliant for someone to hire Vanessa Beecroft to do an ad for shoes.

Miss Jeffrey,
Africa was the first to accept African beauty. Black womens' bodies were exploited in Europe and the ad perpetuates this, but it's fashion marketing which ain't nothing but exploitation, so I digress.
I'm not feeling the clothes either.

i dont just like you. i like you, like you; why does the image of a naked female offend you? she's lovely! and i definitely noticed the shoes more in that particular ad.

also, i think they are "segregated" (come ON, really!) to demonstrate the different families within the season's line. i think it's clever!

the whole point of the naked girl is to highlight the shoes.

Please gag me with a spoon. Even though I love Moschino... Jesus, what were they thinking when they decided this was a good idea?

I kinda get why the girl is naked - but why'd you have to choose the black girl?

And why do I have the high inclination to buy all those girls a Big Mac and a large fry?
