The Olsen girls are billionaires, but they still need you to work for them for free.

If you’re good at running errands, sourcing fabrics, organizing desks, and steaming clothes - all while wearing sunglasses bigger than a socialite engagement ring - then you might be able to join the MK & A empire and intern for The Row.

Reader Kara sent us to a Craig’s List post about the position.

It says:

“The Row is all about a classic, chic sensibility for women and men, incorporating tailor made techniques to all of our garmets. We sell to the best botiques [sic] worldwide New York (Barneys), Los Angeles
(Maxfield), Paris(Marie Louisa), Tokyo (Isetan, Adelaide, etc.) and others.”

And while the position doesn’t pay, those hired could sell scraps of twin gossip to the tabloids and make several thousand dollars…

Which is about the amount you’d need to buy anything substantial from their upcoming, cravable collection.

Fun Fashion Fact for Friday the 13th:

• Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were born on Friday, June 13, 1986. (Castro was also born on a Friday the 13th, and Tupac died on Friday, Sept. 13, 1996)

(But it's nice to see I'm not the only loser working well past midnight ...)

it's a good way to get job experience, possibly college credit. anyone who's parents are still paying their expenses should do it.

Anyone WHOSE parents are still "paying their expenses" so that they can break into the fashion biz should get a life (not mention my latte). And if you want college credit, I don't know, take a class.

I would imagine anyone working for The Row (internship or otherwise), would be asked to sign a nondisclosure form. So selling scraps of twin gossip could wind up costing you more in legal fees than you'd make from a tabloid. Not to mention it's tacky and unethical.

But then, I'm an old-fashioned kind of girl who still believes in morals and discretion. *sigh*

most college fashion merchandising programs require their students to get an internship like this one in order to graduate. i would do this in a minute if i was in NYC!

Although, I'm extremely excited for my Fall Internship (which, like Tessa mentioned is required for graduation), I reaaaally wish I would have known about this one- mine is unpaid anyways (as are most, I've come to find out)- free/discounted Row pieces would have been a nice employee benefit.
