Model Movie Shocker: It's Gisele!

We might have to wait a little longer for Jessica Stam to star with Jake Gyllenhaal, but Gisele might just be the next face of Da Vinci.

British Vogue reports today that the Victoria's Secret goddess is in talks to play Tom Hanks' new girl in the Da Vinci Code sequel, which begins filming in Paris later this year.

We like Gisele because of her Amazon body, her low key vibe, and the way she makes us wonder if wecould wear a bra and wings down the street as an outfit. But we bet other people like her for possible sponsorship opportunities:

If her current employer can pay Entourage and that new Halle Berry movie for product plugs, do you think they'll try to rename the movie Victoria's Secret Angels (and Demons)?

Um, can she act? Or speak Italian? The character is some brilliant Amazonian high-level physicist or something and I will concede her Amazonian qualities and wait to see if she can pull off the rest of it. Somehow I'm not seeing it.

I agree but remember Denise Richards playing a physicist in the James Bond movie? Hollywood will do anything for models.

maybe i'm alone in thinking so, but i didn't mind her "performance" in the devil wear prada. maybe they'll alter her role and make her mute so she can tell a story with her eyes, or something modelesque like that.

As I recall in DWP she was catty and didn't do much. This is a major role heavy on the intelligent dialogue and she's no Audrey Tautou (who was poorly cast in the last one, but pulled it off).

It's actually the prequel to The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, right? Anyways, I think she'll be fab. Anything to draw attention away from Tom Hanks, who is just unattractive.

anne, i wasn't suggesting she's a seasoned actor, or an actor at all. i mean, act with her eyes? gisele? *retracting tongue from cheek.* personally, i would love to see monica bellucci tackle the role.

Ooh, LOVE the Monica Belluci idea. Now if only they'd get rid of creepy Tom Hanks...
