It's finally time to start considering sandals, and to decide how much you'll spend for them.

To that end, reader Carrie Louise likes Manolo Blahnik has a gorgeous pair for $575.

Oh, and J. Crew has the same pair for $118, at least by appearance.

We still think that's a little high, so here are the questions:

1) Can you find another pair of these shoes for under $70?

2) Would you buy either of these versions?

insane prices for not much shoe. i wouldn't buy either.

if you're looking for something not quite as upmarket as manolo, nor as downmarket as jcrew, i believe the prada version is on bluefly right now for under $250. even less yesterday, as they just had an amazing shoe sale. scored a pair of white tod's driving mocs for $200.

J. Crew's shoes are way too pricey for what they are. When I ever I look at the catalog I think to myself, okay, I rant outloud, "Who do you think you are J. Crew?"

I won't be buying either.

Re: Allison's comment. I think there should be a list of labels that fall under the "Who do you think you are, ___" category! I often think this about Bebe, for instance.

Forever 21 has a pair for 15.80. I bought them last night in white faux-leather with brown soles.

Re My Fall Collection's comment

I hate Bebe, with a passion. It is for 8th graders. Actually, not even worthy of 8th graders. It should be painfully murdered.
