PETA Puts Foot Vegan Substitute in Its Mouth

The Daily has a lip-smacking revenge story of sorts today: PETA apologized to Miuccia Prada for invading her show! They realized her runway fur was faux, and their catwalk storm of her show wasn't just self righteous, it was actually wrong.

To atone, they sent Miuccia two dozen roses and a note of congratulations on her collection.

But wait.

Don't roses have rights, too?

Did they deserve to be uprooted from their tender branches just to create a display of beauty for fashion?

And so it goes.

Meanwhile, Peta won't be all smiles for long - the French shows have started, and texts are trickling in that several mini dresses on the runway are made of mink and fox fur.

I applaud PETA for standing up for the right of animals not to suffer and die in the name of fashion. PETA protesters act on what they feel is their moral obligation, but they are as human as you and I. What is so wrong about caring for the voiceless of the world in which we live?

You have no idea how many times vegans have to hear that "dont plants have feelings too?". Yes plants are alive too, but unlike animals, they cant feel pain. How do I know this? Because plants don't have central nervous system. How is anyone above age 10 confused about this? Yes, i know it's meant to be a joke. But it's not funny when you compare real pain that an animal endures to something imaginary. PETA gets some things terribly wrong, I dont approve of their Playboy image, but when it comes to animal rights, they are right.

PETA can suck it! I applaud their conviction on caring for animals, but you do not have the right to infringe on others right to wear fur. I personally don't wear fur but I have tried on a fur jacket and it was murder, FABULOUS MURDER!

If I wear a mink coat with the carcass still attatched to it, that's my right. I bet the people that "care soooo much for the animals" are the same people that are PRO-CHOICE and could care less cruelty to unborn babies, PUH-LEEESSE!
